Thank you for your interest in this research study. The research is being run by independent researchers, Basis Social, on behalf of MaPS. By getting involved you will be supporting us in helping to make sure that debt advice services meet the needs of their users.

As a reminder, we are looking for people to attend two workshops in total, on the following dates:

  • 10am – 12pm Tuesday 11th February
  • 10am – 12pm Tuesday 25th February

Each workshop will last two hours and will involve feeding back on and developing ideas that have come out of some earlier workshops we will have held with people in need of debt advice. You will not need to do any preparation in advance of the workshops. As a thank you for your time, you will receive £50 for each workshop you attend, so £100 in total. You may decide if this is made in the form of BACs transfer or a charitable donation of your choice.

We’re asking those interested to complete this short 5-minute survey.

We’d like to know a bit more about you. This will help us in ensuring the workshops a wide range of debt advisers. There are no right or wrong answers. We are looking to speak to a full range of debt advisers in terms of the areas covered, the size of organisation and type of funding received; depending on the number of responses we receive, we may not be able to include everyone who expresses an interest in the research study. If you are selected to attend, Basis Social will send a confirmation email with further details about the workshop.

The details you provide will be kept confidential by Basis Social and used for research purposes only. Any personal data will be securely deleted following completion of the project, which we estimate to be 28 March 2025. You have the right to withdraw your consent to process the information you provide or object to our processing of your information at any time before the end of the project.
